Vermont Makes Plan B Available to Minors Without Prescription

The FDA has limited behind-the-counter Plan B access to adults, but that hasn't stopped the State of Vermont. Under a new state program, pharmacists are allowed "general prescriptions" for Plan B which they may then give to minors. The program allows patients to access entire classes of drugs, which are widely tolerated but not yet available over the counter, in emergency situations.
