Earlier this month, I described the "linguistic profiling" that black Hurricane Katrina survivors have faced. Now the NAACP has published a comprehensive report on New Orleans housing segregation. Most notable: Nobody seems to be in a hurry to rebuild low-income and subsidized housing, which seems to have had and will probably continue to have a "gentrifying" effect on the city's demographics.
