You know, George Carlin was famous for his salty vocabulary, but my son and I will always remember him as one of the narrators of the Thomas the Tank Engine episodes. Carlin was definitely a multitalented man, with many interests. He will be missed.

I’m in Italy right now, and when I heard the news about George Carlin and Tim Russert, I was devastated. No one around here knows who they are but they both brought words to life and gave people lots to think about. As a journalist, I, in particular, can appreciate that.
