U.S. Liberals Guide Deborah White has posted a stirring editorial on recent events surrounding the NSA spygate program and the Bush administration's response to same. I'm in sympathy with her main point, but strongly disagree with her assessment of congressional Democrats as reliable standards-bearers on civil liberties issues.
